  • ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Fly ash is the ash precipitated from the exhaust fumes of coal fired power stations. The Portland Pozzolana cement makes concrete more impermeable and denser when compared to OPC. The fly ash itself converts useful cementitious compound there by increasing the properties of hardened concrete. The usage of PPC or blended OPC with fly ash has become the pressing need of today to maintain sustainability in construction.

Fly ash holds many positive advantages in terms of resistance to

    • Silica reaction
    • Carbonation
    • Chloride attack

    Economic Benefits

    • It replaces a part of OPC being used
    • It reduces the heat of hydration

    Portland Pozzolana cement

Portland Pozzolana cement is a kind of cement which is produced either by inter grinding OPC clinker and Pozzolana along with gypsum or blending Pozzolana with OPC in different ratios.

Pozzolana is a group of substances containing silica in reactive form (Fly Ash). When it is in finely divided form it shall react with calcium hydroxide in presence of water to form compounds possessing the properties of cement at ambient temperature due to the presence of reactive silica, alumina & iron oxide in Pozzolana.

The pozzolanic materials commonly used are

    • Volcanic Ash
    • Calcined clay
    • Fly Ash
    • Silica fumes

Portland Pozzolana cement is suitable for following construction

    • Hydraulic Structures
    • Mass Concreting Works
    • Marine Structures
    • Masonry Mortars and Plastering
    • Under Aggressive Conditions
